Andrew Berge is the Founder and President of Silver Fern Creations located in Boyne City, Michigan.  Mr. Berge started the company in 2011 after working for Van Dam Custom Boats for a decade, where he played a pivotal role in the development of some of the most recognized boats in the world.

Mr. Berge hails from Auckland, New Zealand where he got his start in fine woodworking at 15, when he had the opportunity to complete an 8,000 hour apprenticeship for a well-known cabinet maker.

While not working, Mr. Berge developed his passion for boats and his love for sailboat racing. Upon completion of his apprenticeship, Mr. Berge went to work for world renowned Auckland boatbuilder Lloyd Stevenson Yachts where he worked for 15 years before being presented with the opportunity to move his young family to the U.S. in 1996 to further grow his career and raise his family.

After relocating to Tennessee, Mr. Berge co-founded a successful cabinet making and custom wood working firm, which he sold 4 years later. This created the opportunity for Mr. Berge to move his family to Boyne City, Michigan to return to his real passion, building world-class wood boats.

As of 2025, Mr. Berge has developed a small team of highly-skilled designers, wood and composite boat builders, marine systems engineers, and paint, varnish, and finishing specialist where they continue to enhance boat building processes, methods, and techniques including the integration of CAD, CNC, 3D Printing, and more.

Dan Lee is the founder of Dan Lee Boat Building, located in the UK. Dan has emerged as a global social media sensation, who runs a widely popular YouTube channel. In addition to Dan’s online social media presence, Dan is a passionate educator, generously sharing his boat building, CNC skills, and technical boatbuilding insights through engaging online courses.

Silver Fern Creations is delighted to be the official North American delivery partner of Dan Lee Boatbuilding. This partnership allows the team at Silver Fern to work in collaboration with Dan and team to deliver a superior product and customer experience to the North American market.

Michel Berryer is the Founder and President of Berryer Design & Manufacturing LLC. In fulfilling a lifelong passion for beautiful boats, beautiful engines and all things mechanical, Berryer Design was founded to provide inventive and elegant design services to the marine, custom automotive and equipment industries.

In addition to Michel’s 20+ year collaboration with the Silver Fern Creations team, he has most recently joined forces with Dan Lee Boat Building to bring the 24ft Runabout, ‘Temptress’ and other designs to the global market.

Andrew N. Kiteley, a seasoned operating partner and investor to world-class businesses, is also a passionate boater and apprentice boat builder. Andrew was instrumental in bringing together the global ‘dream team’ of Andrew Berge, Dan Lee Boat Building, Michel Berryer, and Nellie Eve. Andrew’s vision is to create a next-generation, global boat building company that leverages the latest advancements in technology and social media to deliver a superior product and customer experience to the world.

Nellie Eve joins the Silver Fern Creations team as an interactive multimedia consultant with a deep passion for collaborative environments, where collective efforts yield exceptional results. Her affinity for natural materials, particularly wood, combined with her enthusiasm for technology, makes her a natural fit for exploring the innovative possibilities within Silver Fern Creations.

Nellie plays a vital role in leading finance and accounting activities, in addition to contributing creative ideas for the company's future direction. With a hands-on approach, she is also eager to learn the intricacies of the boat building process, potentially playing a major role with the implementation of CNC capabilities at Silver Fern.
